Surrounded by deer (and yet more school children) we make our way through Nandai-mon (gate)past the Kagami-ike, towards our main destination the Todai-ji. Home of the Daibutsu-den (Great Budda Hall)
Daibutusu-den is also the worlds largest wooden structure and home of a massive collection of giant Buddhist statues (or maybe a collection of massive Buddhist statues!?!) Even if you're not feeling spiritual, it's hard not to be blown away by these impressive feats of human engineering and devotion!
Cosmic!
