After setting base camp at the hotel we venture out to Shin-Nakano and meet a family friend Michael and his partner Naoko. We stop late in The Riverside (an Izakay/Robatayaka?) drinking and eating Japanese style with Michael and the friendly owner and barman of the Riverside.
